Lead Pastor Joe  and Angela Bowman

Pastor Joe Bowman and his family come to us from Chicago, Illinois.   For 21 plus years, Joe has served the Kingdom of God in many roles in Illinois, Oklahoma and Southern Missouri as an evangelist, minister of music, Christian education director and lead pastor.  Joe is a 1987 graduate of North Central University in Minneapolis with a bachelor’s degree in sacred music and pastoral studies.  His continued education has been in the area of family counseling and the study of Worship trends in America.  Joe and his family bring musical giftings, a passion for worship and a desire to see the world won for Christ.

Pastor Andy & Becky Troyer                                                                                    Youth and Young Adult Ministry

Pastor Andy and Becky come to the Heartland family from Dayton, OH where Andy served as Pastor of Student Ministries.  He is a 2005 graduate from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and holds a bachelor of arts degree in Youth Ministry.  Both Andy and Becky are intentional about raising up a generation that demonstrates a love and passion for both God and people.  Pastor Andy can be reached at andy@heartlandcc.net or 217-877-9529, ext. 31.

Becky Troyer                                                                                      Business Administrator

Pastor Jonathan & Merijha Greene                            Children's Ministry                                               

Jonathan and Merijha Greene came to us by way of northern Illinois.  Jonathan has served in churches in Illinois, Arizona and Texas.  Each ministry opportunity has been serving kids.  It is his heart to see a generation of kids grow in their walk with the Lord.  Both Jonathan and Merijha are graduates of Southwestern Assemblies of God University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree.  Jonathan can be reached at jonathan@heartlandcc.net or 217-877-9529, ext 30.

Sandy Smith
Receptionist/Secretary

Sandy and her husband Garry moved to Decatur in August of 2005 from LaPorte, Texas, a suburb of Houston.  Garry has always been a gifted singer, and Sandy came to this position at Heartland after much prayer for a ministry of her own.  In this position, she will be able to utilize her communication and organizational skills to help minister to the needs of the Heartland congregation, as well as the Decatur community.  Her hope is that each time you contact the church office, she can be a blessing to you.  She prays that her love for Christ and this church family will show in everything that she does.  She can be reached at sandy@heartlandcc.net or (217) 877-9529 ext.21.
